Many people struggle with the perception of their own body, including me. That is why in my work, I explore what else the human body can be, beyond just a physical shell. I use the body as my material. I abstract, zoom in, transform and isolate. By molding, altering and manipulating, experiments with form, mass and volume are created. The body becomes an object from a new perspective. I aim to initiate a dialogue about how we perceive the human body, how we can look at it differently, and what impact this has on our identity.
